Shoe Carnival expects its vendors to have similar, ethical business practices to those set forth in its Code and in its other policies and procedures and follow both in spirit and letter. Shoe Carnival expects its vendors to promote fair dealing and disclose conflicts. Vendors are expected to comply with this Code:
NO FORCED LABOR: Vendors shall not use forced or involuntary labor of any kind, whether prison, indentured, bonded, involuntary labor, child, or labor obtained through human trafficking.
NO DISCRIMINATION: Prohibition of discrimination based on race, color, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation or identification, national origin, ancestry, marital status, disability, status as a veteran, or any other protected status.
LABOR STANDARDS: Compliance with employee work hour and minimum wage requirements of the country of origin and commitment to paying a fair wage.
NO HARASSMENT OR ABUSE: Treat employees with respect and dignity and shall not use or threaten the use of any form of abuse or harassment.
ENVIRONMENT: Compliance with environmental laws and regulations in the countries in which they operate.
HEALTH & SAFETY: Provide employees with a healthy and clean work environment in compliance with applicable law. Vendors are expected to provide a safe working environment that supports accident prevention and minimizes exposure to health risks occurring within or arising out of the course of work and meet all applicable safety requirements.
DATA SECURITY: Responsible data privacy and data security protocols and timely breach communication to those affected.
ARM’S LENGTH RELATIONSHIP: Payment for fair charges and receipt of fair value in return.
MONITORING AND COMPLIANCE: Authorize Shoe Carnival and its agents to have access to facilities and records for the purpose of ensuring compliance with this Code.
SUPPLY CHAIN SECURITY: Commitment to secure supply chains, and thus the prevention of human trafficking and the transport of illicit or illegal material.
